Overactivated Nervous System
After a traumatic or stressful life event it is very common for the body and nervous system to become overactivated or disregulated. Basically a traumatic shock or stressful life event can cause your fight, flight, freeze (FFF) response to become "stuck-on" and this puts your nervous system into a state of overactivation or disregulation.
After a traumatic shock/stressful life event people may fluctuate between TOO MUCH and TOO LITTLE arousal
