Working with your Anxiety Hierarchy.
The driving anxiety hierarchy is a list of situations related to driving that you may now fear. An anxiety hierarchy involves making a list of travel situations that cause you to have a negative and/or distressing reaction.
Start with the least distressing item at the top working towards the most distressing action that would be at the bottom.
Here's an example:
- Sitting in a vehicle with engine on.
- Driving in an empty parking lot.
